Betty Jean Thurmond, 87 of Plum Branch, S.C. went to her heavenly home on July 19, 2024.

Betty was born in Augusta, Ga. as the daughter of the late Sue and Albert Reynolds. Betty retired from the McCormick Milliken Plant after 48 years and was a member of the Methodist Church of Plum Branch.

Betty is survived by her daughter Diane Harmon, brother Larry Reynolds, sisters Joyce Young, Carolyn Parks (Demp), Maxine Gable (Terry), grand children Ron Harmon (Tonya), Tiffany Willis, Tyler Willis (Fallon), Andy Willis, JoAnna Edmunds (Ron) and nine great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her sons Frankie Willis and Reid Willis, sisters Hazel Lamb and Barbara Alverson.

A service will be held at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia rd. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00am. Family will receive friends after the service.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave. Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
