Betty Jean Shealy Barnes 87, of Ridge rd. Johnston, SC wife of the late Bill Barnes entered into rest on Friday, December 10, 2021. Services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Enon Lutheran Church, 4100 Pond Branch rd. Leesville, SC, with burial in church cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was born in Leesville, SC and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Hoy Shealy and Lessie Mae Smith Shealy. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Enon Lutheran Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Dawn Holmes (Willis), Jan M. Barnes (David); Six sisters, Shirley Leaphart, Sederis Miller, June Amick, Annelle Bedenbaugh, Sandra Taylor, Brenda O'Cain. One brother, Kenneth Shealy jr. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marilyn Shealy and DeLancye Shealy. Memorials may be made to Enon Lutheran Church, 4100 Pond Branch rd. Leesville, SC 29070. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 5-7pm at Mercantile Funeral Home Johnston Chapel, 384 Lee St. Johnston, SC.
