Mrs. Bess Watson Knight 92, of Edgefield passed away on August 26th, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Knight Sr. Bess was born in Edgefield, S.C., as the daughter of the late Frank C. and Willie M. Watson. She graduated Berkeley High School in 1949 and earned her RN degree at SC Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She spent the majority of her life in Hanahan, S.C. She was a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church and past president of N. Charleston Jaycee-ettes.

She is survived by her son Ken Knight Jr (Helen), daughter Kathy Rigsby (Ken), four grandchildren Kimberly Gallagher (Ed), Kevin Knight, Alex Rigsby, and Noah Rigsby, and three great- grandchildren Erin, Colleen, and Cara Gallagher.

A service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, with burial to follow at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm- 3:00pm before the service at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, 801 Columbia Dr. Edgefield, S.C. 29824.
