Ben Ramey Whisenant 80, of Plum Branch, SC, formerly of Fort Mill, SC went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday June 12, with his loving family by his side.

Ben is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra McDaniel Whisenant, his two sons, Anthony Ben Whisenant (Tony) and Jason Mark (Jake) Whisenant of Fort Mill, SC and his grandson, Anthony Bryson Whisenant, also of Fort Mill, SC, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ben was a faithful member of Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Mill where he served as a deacon and many other capacities through the years. He was a graduate of Strom Thurmond High School and Georgia Southern University.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Parks and Tommie Ramey Whisenant, and his sister Connie Whisenant Quarles.

A celebration of life service will be held at Plum Branch Baptist Church, Church St, Plum Branch, SC on Monday June 17 at 12 Noon. Visitation will start at 11:00 AM before the service and burial will be at Plum Branch Cemetery.
