The life of Anthony "Tony", "Bear" Massaro (59) of Edgefield S.C. was torn away from us unexpectedly on April 13, 2022.
Anthony was born in Brooklyn N.Y. He married the love of his life Kathryn A. White in December of 1987.
Anthony was predeceased by his mother Mary Marchese and his Uncle Sam & Aunt Grace Scafidi. He is survived by his wife, his cousin Liz Scafidi-Hansen, her husband John and their 3 children. Also grieving this incredible loss are his extended family; Bill & Laureen White, Richard & Suzanne White, and Cheryl & Brian Papakie along with his numerous nieces and nephews and their their children who grew up with the incredible love, support and selflessness of their Uncle Bear as he was fondly known by his family. He also leaves behind numerous lifelong childhood friends.
Anthony worked for Roofers local #30 out of South Jersey for 25 years up until his retirement in 2016 to Edgefield S.C.
Anthony loved to learn new things and was fascinated with space, he enjoyed travel, fishing, going to musical events and spending time with his family and friends.
His love of life, respect toward all and unwavering generosity in every aspect of his life made all who knew him appreciate and love him. He taught us to be better people and to be able to laugh at ourselves. His sense of humor was a joy to witness and will be sorely missed.
