Annie Lou Rucker Holmes, 101, wife of the late Raymond W. Holmes of Edgefield, SC entered into rest on April 6, 2025.

Annie was born in Edgefield, SC as the daughter of the late Herman and Blanche Rucker. Annie worked for the Edgefield County Schools as a lunchroom supervisor and went on to retire as a secretary at Fort Gordon. She was a member of Edgefield Methodist Church.

Annie is survived by her daughter Judy Murphy (Tom), one sister Barbara Stark, daughter-in-law Sandra Holmes, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Annie is predeceased by her son Wayne Holmes.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Eastview Cemetery in Edgefield, SC. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to The Boys Farm, PO Box 713 Newberry, SC 29108.
